1. Full Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

  • Wheel Strip and Refinish: This is a more comprehensive process, involving the complete stripping of the wheel's paint, polishing, or smoothing of the surface, followed by repainting or powder coating. It's often done when there’s considerable damage or wear.
  • Cleaning & Inspection: The wheels are cleaned thoroughly, and any structural damage is assessed and repaired before refinishing.

3. Powder Coating

  • Process: Powder coating involves applying a dry powder to the wheel, which is then baked in an oven. The powder melts and forms a durable coating. This is ideal for providing a smooth, high-quality finish that is resistant to chips, corrosion, and fading.
  • Finish Options: Powder coating offers a variety of finishes, including matte, gloss, satin, and even textured options.

4. Diamond Cutting

  • Process: This method involves using a CNC machine to "cut" a layer off the wheel's surface, revealing a shiny metal finish underneath. The wheel is then polished and lacquered to protect the surface.
  • Finish: Diamond cutting provides a high-gloss finish that gives the wheel a very sleek and shiny appearance. It's often used for premium finishes and performance wheels.

5. Refurbishment with Custom Finishes

  • Custom Colour & Design: Alloy wheels can be refurbished in any custom colour or design, including unique finishes like matte black, satin silver, or even custom two-tone effects.
  • Textured Finishes: Some refurbishment services can offer textures such as brushed metal or carbon fibber look effects for a personalized touch.

6. Straightening and Welding

  • Straightening: If the wheel is bent or misshapen due to impact, it can be straightened using specialized equipment.
  • Welding: For cracked wheels, a professional can use welding techniques to repair the cracks before refurbishing the surface.

7. Ceramic Coating

  • Process: After the refurbishing work is done, a ceramic coating can be applied for added protection. This creates a hydrophobic layer that repels water and dirt, helping to keep the wheel cleaner for longer.
  • Benefit: The coating also enhances the wheel’s resistance to brake dust, corrosion, and general wear.
